WHAT A DAY FOR RUNNING!
I'm happy to be able to share some of my favorite running programs with you.

bookmarkANOTHER SUMMER PROJECT
The bookmarks that border this page were designed for you and your kids. You can earn them by completing the Muddy Dog Running Logs or you can write to me for them to use in a club or event.

MUDDY DOG RUNNING LOG
My newest chartable running program is the new Muddy Dog Running Log. It's a mileage program, similar to the kids running Log-a-Mile program. . Just print a chart, do the miles, and earn a bookmark.

RUN TO LEARN

LINKS: Rainbow Spelling Run to spell | Game Worksheet Spelling blank
Run to Spell is one of my oldest games. I've created many versions. It's been written about in Scholastic Magazine. Here's one version that we play at the Happy Feet Club. You can change this to make it just right for your kids. Roxanne Menapace has a Happy Feet Club in Michigan. She asks the classroom teachers for weekly spelling lists when she plays this game.

LINK: Jog, Tempo, Sprint! This is a school game to learn fractions as parts of a group or set (a concept that can be a little tricky for kids). You've got to try this at school or home. It's a kids running game that makes math easy.

REASONS TO RUN: Line your classroom walls with these reasons to run. Print them HUGE so kids can read them from across the room. Have children make posters to illustrate the reasons to run.Remind your kids of the benefits of running.
